Though in medical field by profession, Guru SriLakshmi Parcha is an expert in Kuchipudi style of dance form. She started her Bharathanatyam dance training at the age of five under the guidance of her Guru Josyula Sita Rama Sastry.  Later she learned Kuchipudi from Guru Smt. Lothapally Padma and Sri Pasumarthy Venkateswara Sarma.

She performed as a soloist all over India and directed several Kuchipudi ballets like Bhakta Pradhaladha, Sri Krishna Parijatham, Chandalika, Vaalmik and Vengamamba.   

In 2008, she established her own dance school in New Jersey - Sri Ananda Natyalayam.  As an artistic director of this school, she trains her students to pass on the knowledge of this beautiful dance form.
